Washington, DC, October 31, 2007 -- Upon completing a successful two-year run this month, The Greaseman and WMET Radio jointly announce that The Greaseman Show will take a hiatus following the morning drive program, 6 to 10am, Friday, November 2nd.
The Greaseman said, "I've been thinking about exploring other options in my life and the time has come! WMET has been a great experience but I move on with the thought of taking some time off and relaxing for a while. I am not retiring but I am taking a break from the daily pressures of doing the show. I will continue my video efforts on www.getalife.tv." When asked about what is next, The Greaseman replied, "My future plans will be announced on wmet1160.com."
Dennis R. Israel, General Manager of WMET Radio 1160AM said, "The Greaseman is a radio institution. Doug is one of the most talented radio professionals in the world! We will miss him but we leave our options open for the future. We only wish him well in his current and future endeavors. He is a dear friend and associate!"
WMET Radio will air Music of Your Life, with Deana Martin and John Griffeth, 6 to 10 am Weekdays, starting Monday, November 5th.
